Christina Dillard has a wealth of experience as an EH&S professional and is a committed advocate for workplace safety and environmental protection.  In addition to serving as the Assistant Director of the Laboratory Safety Institute (LSI), she is a faculty instructor and EH&S consultant providing safety training and services globally to laboratory professionals in industry, government and all levels of academia.

Christina’s broad background in laboratory safety with education and experience in chemical, biological and radiological safety, hazardous waste management and emergency response has made her a huge asset to LSI. She recently became a member of the Z87 Committee on Eye and Face Protection to share LSI’s members concerns and suggestions for improvement.          

Prior to joining LSI, Christina initiated the EHS program for the Life Science Company Antigenics. She then went on to consult for other Boston area Life Sciences, bringing their lab safety programs into regulatory compliance. Her work with the Cambridge Public Health office resulted in coordinating a 16-hour, 4-evening workshop that drew on the deep pool of local biosafety in the Cambridge /Boston area. This provided the opportunity to work closely with the biotech community - biosafety professionals, academics, local public health officials, and community representatives who serve on IBCs at local institutions and firms.
